Stretch marks are commonly caused by overstretching of the skin due to pregnancy or weight gain. It is very unsightly to look. Both men and women who have them become conscious with their self. Anyway, here are steps that can help you to understand how to get rid of stretch marks:
Step 1. During shower or bath, brush the target area with skin brush because this will stimulate circulation.
Step 2. Use cocoa butter in massaging the stretch marks. Do it regularly and as much as you can. Cocoa butter contains vegetable fats that provide moisture to the skin making it soft and supple. This may lighten the appearance of stretch marks.
Step 3. Vitamin E is found to be helpful in reducing stretch marks. Massage Vitamin E oil on your affected skin after bath or shower. Apply to your skin daily. Do not discontinue gradually so that you will achieve better results.
Step 4. Seek the advice of your physician about retinoic cream. Ask about the side effects, benefits it can give. Retinoic cream is used also to treat wrinkles and acnes. It helps to reduce the appearance of dark skin and smoothens the rough areas of the skin.
Step 5. Choose foods rich with vitamins A, E, and C; include them in your diet daily. Oral vitamin supplements aside from your meals are strongly advised. For pregnant women, remember not to exceed with the required dose of vitamin A.
